Acceptable Use Policy

You may use ctrlcapture to record your own screen for personal, professional, or educational purposes. You may not use ctrlcapture to publicly share, redistribute, or monetize recordings that contain copyrighted material you don't have the rights to — for example, posting a public ctrlcapture link to a recorded movie, TV show, or streaming service video.
Prohibited conduct
You may not use the Service to:
- upload, host, or distribute malware, spyware, ransomware, or any other harmful or deceptive code;
- harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or incite violence against any person or group, or post hateful content targeting people on the basis of a protected characteristic;
- share content that is illegal, defamatory, or that violates another person's privacy or publicity rights, including recording people where the law requires their consent without obtaining it;
- upload child sexual abuse material (CSAM). There is zero tolerance for this: the content is removed, the account is terminated immediately, and the material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC);
- impersonate another person, business, or ctrlcapture itself, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- circumvent, probe, or test the security of the Service — including bypassing share-link passwords, accessing recordings that are not yours, scraping, rate-limit evasion, or attempting to access other accounts;
- resell or bulk-automate the Service in a way that degrades it for other users.
Enforcement
Violating this policy can result in content removal, loss of share links, or suspension or termination of your account. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Copyright complaints are handled through our Copyright Policy.
Reporting a violation
Report abuse to abuse@ctrlcapture.com with the share link and a short description.
